Morning dog walk. It's warm... but lots of brown.
went to DS TACTICAL in New West BC, to pick up a set of HSGI TACO pouches. Then i went to a local pizza take out place...but didn't realize it had changed owners and was now a Philippine eatery, until i walked in. Oh well, got the BBQ chicken and some beef and noodles. She wouldn't let me order the hot and spicy meat dish. I was too pale to handle the heat apparently, she said NO NO NO, too hot for you, its from my country, too hot .
ordered it anyways and ate it right there. The look of horror on her face as i plowed thru the bowl of hot spicy goodness was priceless.
Afternoon dog walk. There are lots of areas like this... no way anyone is walking through it.
Beautiful day today 55 to 60 degrees.....
So once more into the fray. The trails look a bit deeper due to erosion
I'm really liking my new eberlestock backpack super comfortable!
Looks like a winter rental to me
Gotta get to the other side. 1/2 mile from here there's a tunnel
Finally found a good spot to set up the hammock and relax for a bit
Some pics from the hammock
Cleaned up and headed out. Ran into the biggest hunk of Quartz I've ever seen what you can see is about 3 ft x 3 ft
It puts the food in my mouth!
Back at it! Nice dense forest skinny trails barely used perfect ingredients for a good hike
Can't see it but that's where the mayflower is docked
Not Plymouth Rock... But it's a rock in Plymouth
Awesome day to get out and do nothing!
Still 2' of ice here...!
Jeez... thought that was beach sand for a minute. You poor bastard.
Not today but a couple of days ago..
pouring rain yesterday, and I slept in until noon. Puttered around the house, fully intending on cleaning and chores. Nope. VPN service and POPCORN movie streaming...watched movies and made stuff in the dining room "shop"
heading out today for a woods wander and to get more firewood for next weekends overnighter.
My buddy Levi from work on our ride this morning.
That was the view from top of trail mt. Hood in background
That's on my way home. Mt. Adams
whoa....big country , wow....
Walking in town with Bambino and the woman.
Day hike from the cabin.
After climbing a coupe thousand feet in a quarter mile it was time for a nap.
Most of the snow is gone, spring hasn't shown up yet.
Headed back home, both of us pretty tired.
We saw one group of elk but could not get my phone/camera out in time, another great day on earth!
Morning drive into work
Farted around a little this morning with a buddy of mine. Certainly didn't bring home dinner but it's always fun when something's biting
amazing photos everyone.
today i was at work hauling Dangerous Goods (Asbestos drywall) .
after work I spent time in the shop cutting out the handle on my War Knife, with the angle grinder and cut off discs. 3/8" steel takes a bit...lol..
once home I met with my social skills coach and we went for coffee and snacks. Bro got me to initiate conversation with a smoking hot Asian girl. I never talk to anyone, occasionally when camping with friends, but day to day hardly ever. What most folks say in 5 minutes......is pretty much what i say in a week.....
is that DAGWOODS poochy?
Probably a cousin! This was his last long walk, just getting to old. He has always been my wolf, bear and lion detector so my days are probably numbered without him. He has been a great hiking buddy over the years......
