I do industrial electrical work so most plants won’t allow a standard ring due to the probability of being degloved. So I wear a silicon ring everyday.

I've had a few close calls with my titanium ring so I bought a few of the cheaper ones off Amazon (under 10 bucks for 3 of them). I never take it off and it seems to bother my finger less than metal ones did plus I never hear that annoying "TING" sound when my ring knocks against something metal. The only downside is that because its silicone it seems like more things catch on it because it's such a grippy surface. It's not an issue though. 20180728_132253.jpg

I wear a "thin blue line" silicone ring. Didn't want to wear my gold one anymore when I started in police work so I bought one. I like it. It does seem like it "grabs" more than a metal one though. Hasn't been an issue for me yet, though

I remember all those days spent applying that little rubber ring to the calves...

Me to. The bands we use to put on were green and then they came out with new and improved ones that were brown. I still have the banding tool.

Yes...that brings back memories....as a young'n we use to do the old way with a pocket knife, I always ended up holding the legs and generally had the crap kicked out of me (being about 10 at the time).
