Hey guys, i recently did a video comparing my Rc-3 and Jg3, because i figured it would be something that people would be curious about, since i edc them both.

It was quickly brought to my attention that esee now also has the Rb3, AND the 3hm!

So, what do you think? Which is your favorite, and for what purpose?

Well I have a E3 I've been using for over 8 years. Solid performer and still gets edc'ed a bunch. I also have a JG3, I like this one a lot. Put a convexed edge on it per Mr. Gibson and the things a champ. Gets carried a lot outdoors while on "popular" trails when something larger tends to bother the tourists and middle aged yuppies. That said, after handling the 3hm at the Idaho Bushcraft Class it may be my "favorite" 3 inch blade that esee is making. Like a molding of the two affor mentioned knives. Will get one in hand eventually.....if it only came with the blackwash coating it'd be perfect.

I am hoping that someday every Esee model will come with the black oxide finish :-D

I don't like dark coated blades because they are difficult or impossible for me to see in low light. I tried an Izula II with the sand color coating just to experiment and it makes a huge difference.

I really like Modified Esee's work on those JG3 scales, with some jimping that would be perfection.

Standard 3. It has been my EDC since Feb. 12 2016. Not a single day has gone by that this knife hasn't been with me. It replaced my Izula 2 which I carried for over a year.

I haven't spent time with every ESEE 3" option but my standard 3 with TKC scales does everything I need a knife that size to do, and more. It's an incredibly capable blade that hits the sweet spot for me.

That said, I'd really like to spend some time with a JG3 at some point, for comparison.

3HM if I had to choose, but I'm not giving up my standard 3s. I'd sure like to see the 3HM in stainless...

Love the 3 mil, so that got my vote.
It's such an alround useful and lightewight blade with a good grip.
The only thing I can imagine that can improve it is a bit thicker contoured handles, so I'm considering the short TKC's.
But loving it as it is.

And because this thread needs more pics ;)

I have have been using the same 3 for the past 9 years and have put it through the ringer. I have a battoned seasoned maple oak and ash for fires, processed many an animal for cooking and used it for countless other things. It is the knife I use to set the bar for other knives.

I have all the 3” Esee blade except for the HM and enjoy all of them, I am currently useing my JG3 as my go to knife as I have the least amount of field time on it. To me it is just as capable as the standard 3 as are the rest of them. So as to the question which is the best 3, is going to probably personal preference the handle and blade shape and grind as they will all take an ass whooping till the cows come home.

Far from the most popular, but my rb3 has seen more belt time than any of my other esees. 20181221_171317.jpg

I have to say that the RB3 has the most comfortable grip of all the ESEEs.
