    Calling out @Bushman5 and any other CenterLine System gear junkies! Let’s see those mother kits!

    Here is my current setup;

    The mother loaded with my wilderness innovations poncho/shelter setup. It gets strapped underneath.

    My RAT Tourniquet inside the strap wrap, quick deploy, convenient and doesn’t take up space in the mother.

    I have some, most of my time is in state parks sadly. Or scout camps with my troop. I hunt on my 16 acres, so unless I’m wildcamping in the Shawnee forest I don’t take it. That is a smart thing to use when off trail.

    I have the Mother and a Scout bottle carrier. The mother seldom gets used but the scout is constantly in use. I carry it horizontally. Normally I keep a lighter, small flashlight, small first aid kit, sagewood gear cord spool, duct tape in a gift card and a cheap folder in it. For water I carry either my 26 or my 36 ounce yeti bottle.

    I bought a custom multicam Mother canteen carrier from Mark at Centerline Systems a while back now......my intent was to build a kit for dayhikes in local hiking areas where I simply do not need to carry a ton of gear. However, I find myself hating the local hiking trails more and more....way too many city people , too many crazy people who freak out over a knife on a belt and call police on me. So I don't hike the local trails anymore. I've eschewed hiking trails all together and gone feral. Bushwacking, old FSR's, trails well outside Metro Vancouver.

    However the Mother Canteen Carrier still serves a purpose....its loaded with a few basics so I can grab it if i walk away from 4x4 camp. I don;t keep it in the truck (it will get stolen instantly) but when I'm going out for a drive or camping, it comes with me. Which was Mark's idea all along....a very small compact kit that contains the essentials if a person leaves camp or goes for a walk etc.

    pcis soon...phone updating

    Right now without water I’m at 5 pounds. I just removed some from this kit this morning. Which got me to the 5. I have a heavy cover canteen set coming so that will help also.
