New Holland beer is pretty easy to find I places I've been. If you have not tried dragons milk, definitely put it on the list. A favorite of mine. Available yearound.
When I drink whiskey, if I have a choice, it's ^ Bulleit, especially their rye. OMG. Beer-wise, for at least the rest of this month, I'm still stuck with PBR -- it's a finance thing (saving for a move at the end of the month). But these days, when I have the option, one of my top choices for beer is Smiling Irish Bastard by Geaghan Bros just up the highway in Bangor. It's an American Pale Ale comparable to IPA. IPA's are a recent acquired taste for me, as of a year ago when I was in Oregon for a few months on business, and my office was upstairs from one of the best pubs I've ever been in. They had 81 taps, more than half of which were craft beers, mostly regional. Once I got a taste of good IPA, there was no turning back. I still enjoy a good regular ale or lager on occasion, but I'm a hop nut now.
Lagunitas Aunt Sally Sour Mash Ale. Not for everyone but I happen to really enjoy Sours....and as far as Sours go...it's excellent!
Little bit of Milos sweet tea and some Old Smoky Mountain Cinnamon shine...no pic because it didn't last as long as I preferred..
Busch, PBR and cheap gin. Hey, I'm on a budget getting ready for a stellar move to a place where I can not only find fine beer -- read quality IPA -- but afford it.
Went with the Four Roses Single Barrel last night. Other "usuals" are Blantons, Buffalo Trace (especially if I just want a whiskey and Coke).
I keep seeing buffalo trace on here and I had already heard good things about it. Every time I go to a liquor store I look for it. Haven't found it in stock yet. If I ask the clerk they always tell me it's sold out. There is a buffalo trace shortage. Stop buying it all so I can try it!
Its the distillery that makes Pappy Van Winkle... Which I called on yesterday at my local liquor store and they had a 10yr waiting period! They also make Blantons. I want to try it as well but cant find it.
I was reintroduced to PBR by my neighbor after a 20 year respite. My how tastes buds change over the years. Pretty damn good beer. Almost like a Bud-Light watered down with a Sam Adams.
