Local BC manufacturer of high performance titanium tube heat exchangers for sea craft boats has a consistent surplus off cuts of Sandvik titanium tubing. 54" x 1/2" x? wall thickness (can't find my micrometer to measure) . They sell the off cuts for $20 each. I have a very cool idea for a project using these off cuts. not tipping my hand yet. but I think it will be pretty fricking cool , useful, and bleeding edge design. I'll be getting the machine shop (Smith Industries) near me , the same machinists that machined my Trekking Cart axle , to machine the various pieces to my specs to fit the titanium tubes. That's the only Easter Egg I am dropping....
