Sounds like the queen. She's always emailing me as well. I've not had a moments peace since they had unlimited wifi installed in the palace.
No way!? My mother's family was from Scotland (Argyle). That's part of the reason I'm going over there: seeking my genetic roots. So that means that you, me and Nathan are related. Dude, this could be serious trouble. Three Scots on THIS forum?
So in this thread so far we've got; 2 Americans who think they are Scottish. A person that everyone thinks is Scottish but actually is English. The British Queen who actually is a German. You are right @Zeek your work is done here. It's highly unlikely that any thread on this forum will finish in such a neat and logical manner again.
Actually, that was just 1 great grandmother from Scotland. My ancestral last name family left England in 1651 and landed in what is S. Virginia now, just above the NC line. We've been in the US before it was the US. I went back to England a few years ago. Didn't particularly care for it, all in all. Certainly no where near the worst country I've ever been to. And can't think of anything specifically that I didn't like, except all the Indian food, it just wasn't my bag. I only saw London though, so it's probably not a fair shot. If I came to the US and only saw NY, I'd probably not like this country either. I'd like to go to Scotland or somewhere where you can hunt. And a Coca-Cola is not $8.
Rumor has it that somehow my family is related to Mary Queen of Scots. Not sure how that is or the genealogy of it, but I prefer to trace my lineage back to that famous sailor, Noah. Lots of gaps in the official record between him and me, but I am pretty sure of the end points of that line.
<TILT> I'm going to pour myself just one more vodka lemon tonic, then turn in (fall into the hammock) for the night. So glad that I'm Nicaraguan with a Thai mother and a Russian sister. Dad? I have no idea. Martian, I think.
Yeah, but his greatgrandmother was from Jupiter, and his aunt was from Beta Something. And that's where the family history gets really dark.
