Lemme know, please, when you guys get that sheath thread up and running. I'll be there fo' sho'.

Several of my nine already wear either significantly modified stock sheaths (SW HRT)), non-stock sheaths (X7, Izula, RB3, TDI), or need another sheath built for it (Enzo Necker, which in a late night brain-fart, I originally listed as a Trapper; fixed now).

In fact, I've been thinking of a thread where I'd put up pics of my blades and their modded/prototype sheaths (in one case a "hobo sheath" prototype of cardboard and duct tape that I'll share in here later), and seek bids with design from custom sheath makers. I anticipate having the funds to do that this year sometime.)

But maybe I'll do that in the sheath thread, which will no doubt attract a lot of sheath people.

I'm thinking about an interesting exercise for this thread some time down the road when lists of 9 taper off.

It wouldn't take long for me to go through and copy/paste all this data into a spread sheet, hit alphabetize, and have a list of all knives listed here with the number of occurrences of each.

Maybe some Friday night when I'm burned out from work but bored for something to do.

    THIS!

Most stock sheaths suck, and if I can't safely and comfortably carry my knife without the use of an external pack/bag, I don't use it. This is largely why I became a leather worker. Been seriously thinking about getting into kydex bending too.

As far as my own list, I have a blade inbound which might fill the last slot, but it sits as follows.

    In no particular order.

    1. Spyderco Para 2
    2. Victorinox Farmer
    3. Buck 124
    4. Winkler Belt Knife
    5. BRKT Ultra Light Bushcrafter
    6. Morakniv (any model)/Hultafors HVK
    7. Puukko (usually customs)
    8. Silky saws
    9. Placeholder *blade inbound to possibly fill this*

**ETA** Are axes/hatches/saws included in this?

I think that would be pretty interesting. I'm already seeing several specific knives being mentioned multiple times, and it's not just the usual obvious ones.
