Need some experience and feedback on these handles. I plan on buying the G10 extended handles for my ESEE4 and G10 handles for my Izula.

The length and thickness of the stock handles is the only downside to the ESEE4 for me. I like the cord wrap on the Izula, but cleaning is a bit of a mission. TKC is the easiest online store to make my purchase, due to my location.

No brainer, do it. I'm switching all my Esee one by one to TKC scales.

    A better place!!!!
I've got the original TKC's on a 3 and love them. They're a little longer that stock and cover the pommel so they give a little more to grip with your pinky if you've got larger hands. So I could see them being a real asset on the 4 as well. I haven't tried the TKC's on my izzy yet, still using a paracord wrap for it.

Thanks for the feedback JMJ. If I had the 3 I would probably not spend the extra cash on TKC's, (very expensive for me to import) but the 4 is a bit larger and heavier so the same size handle than the 3 would prob feel a lot better with extended handles. I've got a feeling the extended TKC's will transform the ESEE4 into an awesome user.

I actually prefer the shorter length ones where the pommel is still exposed and you can use to hammer if needed.

I have TKC handles on my 4 and 6, and they've been great. The contour and ergonomics fit perfectly in-hand, and the texture provides a pretty substantial grip.

On my Izula(s) I have the standard ESEE Micarta on one (the shorty version) and the standard ESEE G10 on the other. I modified the G10 scales to match the lanyard hole - and I much prefer it over the micarta scales.

    Standard Micarta:

I am aware that I will not be able to hammer with the pommel, but then again I probably only made use of the exposed pommel once or twice before.

Thanks for you input and comparison. That G10 mod looks very well done.

Thanks, but I don't have all the tools to do it properly. Probably end up destroying the scales

I run TKC scales on 90% of my Esee blades, feel great in the hand, tough and easy to clean.
