    OK, starting from the top.

After reading Bushie's OP, I gotta say that's one of the coolest, most functional walking sticks ever. (I'm 67 and have been using sticks since about 10 or 11 ... in a bunch of ways, including walking. In the corner behind me is the willow walking stick from a creek in TN that I carved on the way home at age 11 or so. I used it for backpacking when I got into that. Now, it just goes where ever I go, but it's mainly a basecamp item now.)

    I also have a new hypothesis. @Bushman5 is a survivalist druid. :)

Thank you. Fully loaded (fishing gig, steel plated buttcap, firesteel, and some extra gear in the hollow handle) it was 2.8 lbs. I would estimate that empty it's just below the two pound mark.

I am working on a video (it's taken me forever) where I go over the features and performance of the staff. On the last two outings I really worked it over, using it for support when I fell through the snow, stream crossings, pushing logs and even a little pole vaulting and the joints (it's a 3 piece breakdown staff) stayed nice and tight and it simply performed great. Very pleased with it.

Thank you. I was worried it would be heavy also, so I shaved a lot of superfluous weight in non-essential areas. Recently did a three day trip with it over rough terrain, and it felt very good in my hands all day long.
