@Backwoods Runner my GSR loves to eat up Armscor ammo. I've put 200+ rounds of Armscor .308 through my rifle, and it shoots accurately plus it's about $0.60/round near me
Didn't shoot it for groups but I was hitting everything I aimed at with aguilla 150 grain FMJs today, shooting sporting clays on the berm at 100 yards with the open sights offhand is a ton of fun.
Does anyone own a savage 110 scout have been contemplating getting one or the mossberg MVP patrol/ scout any input would be greatly appreciated it would be my first scout rifle will be using it for spot and stalk Deer in thick Woods
Just picked up the Savage Scout in 308 today. Still need to pick up some glass and a sling. I can't wait to get this thing dirty.
I'm connecting with it way more than I did with my AR. Trying to run the bolt quickly reminds me of driving a finicky manual transmission, but I like it.
Polish the bolt for smoother action, pull the bolt and coat it with whitening toothpaste reinsert and work the hell out of it while bing watching the walking dead Your action will be slicker than snot and your rifle will smell minty fresh
Welcome, came across it on YouTube when researching scout rifle. Be sure to wipe it clean and reapply toothpaste every so often till you get it to your liking. If I remember correctly they used Pepsodent toothpaste.
An "if I had the $$$" one passed me the other day. A Handi rifle with iron sights and a ported barrel for under $400. Connect that pumpkin to the target at 300-400 steps and you won't need a follow up shot very often. came with base, rings and nice glass too. Edit: Duh. I'm an idiot. The caliber was 45-70. Hence the reference to pumpkins.
