My wife and I celebrated 20 years of marriage earlier in the fall. We were able to take a trip to the Pacific Northwest and on to Alaska. Beautiful scenery and awesome trip. Here's a few pics. Took a three day working trip on the sailing schooner Zodiac out of Bellingham, WA. While in WA we hit the farmers market at Seattle, stayed in a few small towns, caught a bonsai park, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
Onward to Alaska. We stayed within four hours of anchorage the entire trip in Alaska. A super typhoon blew in and rearranged our trip to the Kennai peninsula, clouds obscured Denali the entire time, but still it was an incredible place!!! If I was 25 again I would "go west, young man."
Awesome!! I spent about 5 months in Seattle. I see you made it to Pikes Public Market. My wife enjoyed the market while I packed all of the bags.
Congratulations on both 20 years of marriage and on finding a great way to celebrate it. Your pictures are outstanding.
The market definitely had lots of excitement. I'm a country boy at heart and at comfort. There were a few too many people per square mile for my liking. Great place to visit. Thanks, it was a truly incredible trip. Thanks. There are some massive trees farther north. Especially the old growth stuff. Thanks, and you are welcome. Thanks and thanks.
We went to the Pacific Northwest over the summer and loved it! Saw Olympic Park, Pacific Ocean, tidal pools, Hoh Rain Forest, Mount St Helens, Ape Cave lava tubes, Mount Rainier, and Seattle. Spent two weeks camping there we are ready to go back as well! There are some awesome hikes in the area and the scenery is just beautiful, especially during wildflower season.
