A RUGGED stainless steel mess kit (square, rounded corners, THICK steel) with flip out handle and a rugged strap to lock it shut. Doubles as a BIG survival kit. like the old GI stainless mess kits, but box shaped. and YES, i already have the aluminum one ESEE sells (thanks 5col a while back) but i want a SS version that is TOUGH as nails.
The concept was for a "better skeleton knife" that didn't need scales, but if it came into being (and it may at some point) I bet some enterprising fellow would be able to make some aftermarket scales for it. It's designed to be able to be compatible with scales or cord wraps, but to not need them to be comfortable.
Imagine it with a black oxide stonewashed finish, black G10 scales, and a black leather sheath make a perfect combo/companion to the CL1 Cleaver
I would like Esee (Trans Equatorial Solutions) (sounds like a Blackwater/Halliburton Security Agency!) to consider expanding to BC Canada....for training in extremely diverse climates. (rainforest that is very similar to the jungle, desert, arid, highlands, lowlands, dense forest, boreal, etc........) Yea I'm looking for a job. I don't care if i have be an Esee Northern Ranch caretaker , cook , guide, off highway driver, whatever......I'll do it. And you better believe my cast iron cooking will feed an army LOT of opportunity up here in Western Canada....and your USD goes very far here. Lots of LEO, SWAT, CSIS, JTF2 soldiers, reg Military, firefighters, SAR, etc to train up here......
Nothing wrong with Condor products, I've been relentlessly beating on the Dundee Bowie like a Redheaded stepchild and it just laughs at me while begging for more
Stpnwlf- My own experiences with Condor are limited, but what I've seen has not impressed me. I do still own the 15" version of the Condor Duku Parang, but find it less effective than my HI Imports Khukuris. Solitary, I was thinking it might fit well with the expat line.
