These boots were about 3 days old when we got the snow. They are starting to get comfortable, but they were bad at first. They are Ariat ankle boots, not advertised as waterproof. I treated them with obenauf's oil and leather protector before I went out in the snow. My feet never got wet.
Southwest Georgia, about an hour from Alabama and Florida. I think we had 7", it probably set a record.
That is about as much as we received here in Wisconsin so far this winter... It is crazy you received almost as much as we did!
Today is going to be 75, I'm already sweaty from walking the dogs. I think the gulf caused it to be a lake effect snow. I don't think we had a full 7" on our property I think we had between 5-6". I had 5" on top of cardboard boxes that we covered our young citrus trees with. I think the previous record for our county was 3" in 1973.
