Clarkson? He's awesome. He's like the best of both worlds: supremely arrogant and willing to punch a boss in the face like an American, but incredibly dry and refined sense of humor like a Brit.
Yeah, but you just don't go and punch a guy over a trivial thing. He knew his worth and was acting like he's invincible, I guess he learned his lesson - that he's more than invincible and BBC lost a true cash cow.
Allo, gov'nor--That stiff upper lip maturity and voice of reason stuff has got no place in this forum, what? On this side of the pond, we prefer the Ready, Fire, AIM! approach, ol chap.
Haha. Joking aside. See I used to be like that punch/ask questions, but one day I figured out in a hard way the meaning of word 'karma'
Just watched the first episode. Not as big a fan of Clarkson since his little spoiled brat meltdown that ended Top Gear, but I understand that stuff happens and you move on. The show was ok. Nothing spectacular, but I'm sure it'll get better as they get in a rythym. They have a much bigger budget with less rules now. Hopefully they don't just try to make it all about grand stunts and $$$$$$. Their best TG episodes were always the ones where they bought cheap crap and took it interesting places. It's no Freiburger and (insert anyone here) online show, but I'll watch more of it.
I kinda thought the same thing. Part of what I thought was funny was the understated British humor. They need to keep that rather than engage the audience so much with slapstick American humor. Not as funny. The quality of the footage was absolutely stunning, though. At least on my Mac. I couldn't believe it. I think they are going to do more of the cheap stuff too. I saw some previews where they went camping and it was pretty funny.
