Hoping this ESEE TERTIARY will fit and stay in the wifes arthritic hands better than a standard knife,
if not I may just have a place to keep it.

Will do. It may be a bit before she figures it out, she has a couple fingers with the tendons cut loose to stop them from curling up. Others are hooked and twisted, poor lady suffers through a bunch with her hands, rheumatoid arthritis can be a real bitch! Took a long while to figure out how she could hold and fire a pistol, uses a right hand grip but has to use her left index finger to pull the trigger. Once she figured that out though she became a deadeye with the MK25 and P239 she carries.
Right now the LS with TKC scales I got here from @Richard Smith is her favorite but she still doesn't have a super firm grip on it.

I think it would be a slow trial and error process and then it might not help, she has very minimal grip strength on the few fingers that do work. Hoping the push dagger wedged between her fingers and backed up by the palm will allow her a little control. Just hoping one of those fingers that don't bend won't get in the way of the cutting edge.

Absolutely no disrespect to ESEE, but you might try a custom buildup:
Fencing-weapon grip with an open pattern, such as this one.
    https://zivkovic.com/index.php/product/zivkovic-z-handle/
Then use a thin tanged. short-blade from Ragweed Forge, such as one of these.
    https://www.ragweedforge.com/BladeCatalog.html
Thread the tang with 6mm, and use a standard pistol-grip pommel.

A lot will depend on use intentions.
If you’re looking for SD alone, PM me for an adaptation of the above.

[Pistol-grip handles were developed post WWI, for those with traumatic hand injuries, hence the other term of “orthopedic” grip.]

(My wife has ALS, so I feel for you/her.)

Not as much self defense as just something she can manipulate easier for everyday tasks.

if i may be bold, can you get your lovely lady to squeeze a lump of Sculpey? mark the front of it with a red dot (sharpie) , bake it in the oven and send it to me? I will pay for both the clay and the USPS to BC Canada....i have an idea but i need to see the grip she has first....

this is 100% on me if it works out.

R&D is a huge passion of mine.

Since it's her hand I better get her approval before committing but doubt she will mind. I will take care of the clay and getting it to you. I'll be home next week, PM you then. Thanks much!
