    Reminds me of a documentary I saw about living in the Alaskan bush though the winter. The guy had his main cabin that he lived in and then had a very heavily reinforced wall tent on the other side of his clearing, it was stocked full of survival supplies, firewood and a woodstove ready to light for just this reason. He knew if his main cabin burned in the middle of winter with all his equipment he was done for. Considering all wood construction, light weight wood stoves possibly oil lamps and candles these cabins are probably at a lot higher risk than your average house for a fire.
