That sound like progress !!!! My US to here issue was the sender to a degree. Quoted the sale price (ebay) to include air mail, I thought the price too cheap but paid right away (one of the US Military 'Sleep Systems" - two bags, bivvy bag and two stuff sacks), asked for confirmation about shipping method and tracking for over a week after payment, crickets, gave it two full weeks and asked again, crickets, after a month (never takes that long airmail) I lodged a claim via eBay/Paypal and the seller never responded and as such I was refunded (somewhere deep down I did believe it was shipped sea freight but in the absence of a response of any kind I had to lodge the claim). A month after the claim was found in my favour I got an abusive email (well message via eBay) that I was a thief, liar, con-artist and on and on....I replied that he had never provided even a customs number or confirmed the method of shipping nor responded to the ebay dispute, I got more abuse back and told he "had friends in Law Enforcement" and I may think I was out of reach here in Aus but he was coming after me....he had proof the package was delivered and he was going to dedicate his life to tracking me down etc etc. I explained if he had proof of delivery please send it to me, I am on a first name basis with all the staff at my small local PO and they would look right into it for me, I assured him *I* had not collected it and if someone had I wanted to pursue it at my end as well...got more abuse back about being a liar etc etc. My last email was simply that if it ever arrived (as it certainly had not) I would of course send the payment once again. I then forgot it for about three more months till one day there it was (sea freighted and marked as such). I explained to the staff at my PO the circumstances and they stamped it as received for me on the sealing tape and address labels with the official seal (includes the date) of that PO. I then photographed it on the PO counter and went home where I promptly send him full payment and copies of the dated pictures. The only response I got was "oh well, people make mistakes".....
It’s here!! Over all really impressed! I might have ordered it a little long but nope a problem! Fit is extremely good and very happy. New in packaging! And the Smock! (Added a better picture)
Nice !!!! That is a later generation than the one I have. I see the improvements I would have made !! Glad you like it !!
@anrkst6973 No I didn’t buy the matching pants the shipping was already bad enough. I have plenty of US Multicam bottoms if I wanted to match them. @Andy the Aussie I really like it so far! I went with your idea and took the shoulder patches off first thing. They were oddly shaped a simple 1 inch strip and no center Velcro. If I wanted Velcro I would attach a full piece patch. Thank you for the recommendation!
Received my desert SAS smock yesterday. Slightly used, very nice construction. I haven't tried it out yet, plenty of opportunity for wind here.
Tried the new smock out in some 20mph wind, it cut the wind very well. I really like this smock, great roomy pockets! I took a few pics in it's natural environment for your viewing pleasure
dirt cheap pricing (even with Euro to USD/CAD conversion) for a high quality smock. Various camo patterns and solid colors. Shipping not too bad. https://www.helikon-tex.com/en_eur/ku-pcs-pr-pcs-parka-polycotton-ripstop.html
I have read mix reviews of the Helikon made gear, some great some not so much. They are a Polish company but I believe their gear is actually made in China.
