Much thanks. Thank you sir. He is on the list for one! Don’t know when SRT will be, maybe he will have it before.
Number three is up. With each one I learn some things, and mess up different things. The learning curve on folders is a bit steeper than on fixed blades. Brass liners with liners and micarta. Still working 1084 for blade and back spring. I used what I had to attempt a jeweling pattern on the liners. Gotta do better next time. Thanks for looking!
Here is the latest from the work bench. 1084 blade and back spring. Linerless, polished micarta scales. Super lightweight.
Yes. I need some different tooling. I am still getting set up, in this learning process. Tools, knowledge, and input needed. @Strigidae
Thanks Mud. Me too. I hated to see it leave. Thank you sir! I need a milling machine! A hobby one would do. I need to source a step drill bit like this, but smaller...1/8” drill 5/32 step I could start with those.
The title is a bit deceiving for this post. Been working on a fixed blade. Here’s some pics. Forged from the bar it is laying on. Did not like the tip so I reground it. A knife sanding jig holding a knife in a shoulder filing jig.
Finally I’m back on the folder projects. Nickel silver bolsters on 440 liners. Same 1084 on blade and backspring.
