Ferrocerium rod. I keep loose ones around and in my pocket when I carry a folder or an Izula. (Or any knife without a loop)

Eh, without a handle and with all the strike marks and pocket dings and whatnot it kind of just looks like anonymous pocket nonsense.

NW corner. Menlo. Right on the Alabama line and not too far from Tennessee.
I like it more everytime I use it. Good size and weight with a very useful blade shape. A well designed tool.
    No complaints at all.

How's that Titan working for you? I've been eyeballing one for a while. The twist on/off is my only hang up. I just prefer a clicky tail cap.

I just got it this weekend. I like it so far, but I've been using lights with clicky tail caps it is going to take some getting used to.
I wanted something small that I could just throw in my pocket and not worry about but still wanted a decent amount of light output.

An engineer friend at work has had one since they came out and loves his. He might actually be rougher on stuff than I am and it's held up pretty well so I thought I'd give it a shot.
And I got a great deal on it because of a problem I had with a Surefire light a long time ago.
I'm going to buy some AAA eneloops and a charger and all together I'll have about what the light normally costs alone tied up in the whole set up.

Good CRI? Looks about the same size as my Maratac Ti AAA, but it's not the best emitter. Powerful just not great CRI. Great nichia 219 on the Prometheus beta qr2 I have that's AAA but at the cost of lots of lumens. If only I could have both in one light. But then again they're all twisted and I also like a clicky. The Olight s mini is my favorite edc right now but it's a different animal.

Strongly recommend the newer Panasonic eneloops.

Color rendering index. LEDs can be very monotone and wash the color out of things. So something that might look green in daylight looks plain gray under just the LED. Or brown maybe under an overly warm color temperature.
