If anyone is looking for a charter in the S. Georgia area, I can recommend Mad Shark Charters (www.madsharkcharters.com)

They leave out of the Darien area. (Near the Golden Isles, where I have been known to take up residency from time to time on one of the islands--I'm partial to Sea Island, but Jekyll or St. Simon's will do in a pinch).

We went out with them last week and caught a bunch of lemons and black tips.

300 hp on a Contender center console and it's hard to tell what is more fun, catching sharks or tearing up the waves at 50 mph.

    Expat Approved.

That 20+ footer great white yall caught was pretty awesome. That's why I stay on shore.

You can fish for sharks in the river that is 15mins from my place or in the water trap at Carbrook Golf Club (nope not kidding) ...why travel all that way out to sea...I just offer the local kids a few bucks to swim my bait out into the river for me and sit back and wait... :D

I don't get on airplanes. So I won't be visiting Europe any time soon. Plus, I don't recycle or have one of those weird plugs you guys use in the wall. And I wear a ball cap. So I think I'm pretty much not allowed in Austria.

You can take a boat ride here, in fact you can take a boat all the way to a dock that is on that same river and be 15mins from my home in the Alps... we will loan you a culturally appropriate hat and electrical appliances as required... ;)

Here’s a pic of Andy from just a few months ago. Expat, I’m sure he’s got a spare outfit for ya.

I have always wanted to own one of the giant brass PENN deep sea reels, and fish for sharks

I thought that went without saying, but thanks for making that clear. Sings a mean Edelweiss solo.

Next summer, I'm going shark/tarpon fishing with a fly rod.

You're all invited. We'll camp on the beach on Sapelo Island.
