Anyone on the forum sew Boonie hats?

I need to have a hat made in a special camo pattern :)

Thank you! I'm having so much fun. I'm excited for my new machine to show up Friday!

Thank you. There's always shipping ;)

I've not messed with hats yet. What pattern? I just bought a great boonie from Helikon Tex in PL Woodland. It's a wonderful hat.

    That's wild! I like it!

Finished up a customer order today:

And took some "me time" to create a pocket for my inbound V2 Umlindi in Multicam.

There is actually some crazy development stories behind it just like the Multicam / Scorpion / OCP pattern drama.

The HyperStealth Spec4ce Forest was actually developed for the ANA on the US gov dime. The ANA didn’t want to pay the $$ for the exact pattern. So they swiped it and made a very similar pattern without having to pay the royalty’s..
The top 2 photos are the original pattern. The bottom is the ANA “knock off”.
I would love to find a hat in the real original pattern…

That is a wild story. I'll have to keep my eyes and ears open.

I'm an open book. If anyone has ideas, I'll whip it up.

Thank you much. I'm having a blast. I have vacation time in for next week, so hopefully I'll have loads of seat time with the new machine.

Semi-finished. Needs some velcro loop on the flap, but otherwise pleased.
