So interesting and cool that iPhone's will now exceed the resolution of the older film cams, even like 5x7. I hear that entire movies are being produced with them. Sure makes wilderness photography while backpacking easier. :)

Yes they are good. You lose a lot of resolution uploading photos onto this forum. The photos look a lot sharper before I uploaded them.

I will have to go back and actually read what has already been posted, but since you are in the NE and there are many sailboats in the region, would it be possible to strike up a friendship with a blue water sailor who might take on a novice crew member (I am assuming you don't have any experience in this, but I tremble at the thought of underestimating you :)) for a trip across to Scotland?

New developments on travel. Can't say anything now, or for months, but I seem to be closer to passage.

We visited the area a couple of years ago. Our hotel was on the banks of Loch Lomond. A very beautiful area. But its worth being aware that with its close proximity to Glasgow, at certain times of the year it is extremely busy with tourists and holidaymakers.
My personal favourite areas are a little further up the West coast. In particular the OuterHebrides. There you will find Gaelic spoken more as a first language.
