@GaryMc back in the day Charles and I use to make the wooden beads and wooden handled ferro rods together as a little business. They looked nice but were a crap ton of work, the cooler looking beads are the burl woods and half the time would just explode in the lathe. One of these days I'll make some more wood beads, but metal is more fun to work with.
