@Strigidae, can we move this thread under the Knives, Gear, Guns, And Other Tools? Or maybe we need a Firearms specific forum?
Made a cool little discovery today that I thought I'd pass on. I just purchased a Sticky Holster "Mini" mag pouch. But being a revolver guy at heart, of course the first thing that crossed my mind was, "Hmmm...that looks like the perfect size for a Speed Strip loaded with .38s...." And lo and behold - it fits like a glove. So, if you're looking for an alternative to pocket carrying a Speed Strip for some reason, this might be a good (and pretty cheap) solution. You can either just stick it in your waistbelt IWB-style, and it stays just fine with belt tension and the nature of the "sticky" fabric, or it also has a belt loop with velcro closure if you want the extra security. And it's still pretty slim, too. As an added feature, it's got a pocket on the back that's perfect for credit cards, I.D, etc:
I am torn between these two. I have lots of Smiths but no heavy range toy DA. I would not have to replace the sights. Maybe an action job. I would just get a regular 686 with 6" or 7" barrel. But would need a new sight and action job. I am colorblind and cannot stand the red ramp. I want a black patridge sight. I cannot find anything used that I like. I regret selling my model 14 20 years ago.
I am wavering. I am considering the 7" 7 shot TALO. I probably should be limited to posting in the Smithsonian...but I think that sounds like some sort of challenge? They call me Mr. Huckleberry.
