For a repeat customer. Zombie Response Team 5. Still need to make the sheath for it though. 20220606_122628.jpg 20220606_122637.jpg received_586188936259853.jpeg

Had some very hard gas station bought wood from quite a few months ago and tried batoning it with the 4, pr4 and the 6. They all got stuck (first pic). That's why I ordered the 5. Almost like butter, it went through with ease, of course. It didn't take long for the coating to get removed, but again, it's hard wood and I like the character of it. 20220707_193015.jpg 20220707_193115.jpg 20220707_193726.jpg

Hey! New to Esee, and new to the forums! I've done a bit of research, and know a lot of people aren't too fond of the 5. I made it my first purchase, I couldn't resist. (MORE than pleased. I'm amazed.) 10/10

First pic; is almost completed 5 kit/sheath.
Second pic; is Esee before pouch purchase with Kabar.
(I'm aware the Kabar sucks, I own it because it's pretty/it's history.)

I'm replacing the plastic cord stoppers with some crappy metal ones that I've found (https://www.etsy.com/listing/1120683016). Replaced the green para-cord with thicker/longer black, for a leg loop. I've got an EDC bottle opener/keychain (https://www.etsy.com/listing/538919393((hammered) and have some Arkansas stones (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H9BO8MS) coming, (hopefully due to live in survival tin)(Edit: Success on fitting them! Barely!). Trying to plan out a PCB etch for the logo. Can't figure out a way to color the finished etch.

I noticed with some of your sheaths you guys have replaced the metal grommets with colored ones? Did that come with the sheath custom, or can you do that aftermarket without messing anything up?

I'm hoping to pick this up sometime soon as an EDC sheath.

(Am open to alternative custom sheath vendors as long as reasonable price/low wait list)

(Double edit: I suck at pictures.)
(Can anyone tell me image host that functions here?)

Pleasure to finally be here! Cheers!
    ~John

(And yes, I've got some gnarly things planned for this beast.)

(Edit 8/6/2022 took a few new pictures of my small humble collection together w/ better lighting ect and removed the old ones.)

20220910_134042.jpg 20220910_134533.jpg Took 3 maples down yesterday so I've got the toys out. I've been limbing with the 5 today just because why not... time she gets broke in and gets some work done for me lol.

You pics remind me that I’ve got to play with my 5 more and not let it sit in my truck.

I used to think that was the case with the Laserstrike. I think both are kinda odd knives that you have to use kinda hard to really appreciate. My 5’s too much fun to split kindling with to ever part with.

The 5 is a big fun knife, sometimes feels like too much steel, but quickly forget that when putting it to use.

    Thanks.
Yes, ginger +lemon is hard to beat, at home we often drink that combo. On the trail its easier to just bring the gingerrroot. Toss it in your pack without getting a mess :D
