Look around the 'net for possible leaked specs of a possible higher capacity "G43x". Possibly.

Once again, seemingly Glock is being Glock..

Shooters: The G19x and G45 is great, love the Gen 5 guns. So, how about a G19 grip and G17 slide length gun?

Glock: The G43 is selling well, the G26 always has. The Sig 365 is getting a lot of press and is somewhere in between. Hey Andy, go shave a nat's hair off a G26 and give it a longer grip, but not quite G19 length.

G43 owners: What about those factory extended mags that were mentioned when our gun was released?

Glock: Want more bullets, buy new gun. Quit whining, we give you five options that are all pretty much the same size.

Ill take a 26 length barrel with a 19 grip if you are taking requests.

I've had the opposite (G19 cut to G26 grip) in the past and have another one being done as we speak, although a G45 this time.

but why? (and please excuse my lack of handgun knowledge (i'm Canadian Eh?) but why? why a shorter grip, reduced magazine capacity? concealment? a SBR can be concealed in a daypack..........why even bother reducing capacity on a handgun?

    and again......i'm not a handgun guy (yet) ....have had a LOT of woods/range rifle time with .22, 308, 30-30, 30-06, win-mag though..

I live in a hot humid climate, so the subcompact grip length makes it print way less under just a T-shirt. My wife has a G27 so we can share mags if need be, but mainly the concealment/low printing signature and a preference for a longer sight radius. This was a refurbished police trade in I picked up for around $350 so I did feel too bad experimenting. I carry a full size 15rd mag as a backup with a grip extension.

I also can run any normal full size and compact mags without an extension with no issues.

The crazy thing Bushy is I shoot this thing more accurately now with the shorter grip than I did with it full length. Best I can tell is with the pinky off there’s less torque on it.

No problem Brother! I’ll also add that I did this grip chop mod really early into my daily conceal carry and was overly concerned with printing and being noticed. Now that I’m more confident in that regard I’ll occasionally carry a full size large frame Glock 10mm, still not all that T-shirt friendly but it’s more with how clueless the general public is.

I thought the 26 was just a shorter grip 19. I wouldn't change my 19 one bit. However would love for the 43 to be the same size as my 42.

..... nope, shorter barrel and slide as well. Same as a 27 is to a 23. I HATE the 27, it is a bit of a pig but there are times I have no option. The 26 is much nicer to shoot. The 19/23 is about the perfect size IMHO... :D

Agree. Had a 27 and hated it. the 19 has been my favorite of all of my glocks

I agree on the 19/23 being about perfect. I had a 23C for a longtime but a friend offered me more than I could turn down when I was wanting a 20 as a woods/hunting pistol so it got sold. I never was very keen on the compensated barrel/slide or else I’d have kept it. I don’t mind the 27 I got for my wife so much , definitely a bit snappier to shoot.

Few people seem to know the G30s (45 ACP) is the same size as the G19/23, even fits in most of the same sized holsters. ;)

I didn’t know that until recently, makes me want it’s “litter mate” the G29sf even more. I’ve become a 10mm nerd over the last 3 years since getting my G20 and hunting hogs with it.

Same grip too? Id figure it to be as thick as a 2x4.

I measure the 30s grip just 0.1 inch wider. The depth (back to front) is nearly identical.

The G30s is my favorite out of the bunch to shoot. I'll have to get one eventually.

Add rumors of a possible single stack G19 sized gun to the mix, although the two guns may be one and the same...
