I need to get a better flask for my pack. The one I have came from Walmart, and the opening into it is about 3/4 cm diameter, which makes it a royal PITA to fill it. I have to pour liquor into a 1/4 cup measuring cup and pour that into the flask very slowly and carefully to avoid spilling. Scotch is too precious to waste!

Flask funnels. Never heard of them. Learn something new everyday (if I'm lucky).

Here's a bunch on Amazon. I've added a cheap one to my list for the next purchase.

Snagged a GR1 a while back for every day use....got a decent deal on it, still not cheap for what seems like a regular ol' backpack. That said, I love this damn thing. By far my favorite bag I've tried for every day use. I sometimes wonder if I'd like the 26L more, but so far the 21L treats me just great. I use a GR1 Padded Field pouch inside (just sits in the bottom of the bag). Just ordered an MSM Bottle Corset to go on the outside of the pack, as the only thing I occasionally miss that other bags had is a bottle holder of some kind. Also got a 20LB plate for it to carry around for walks with the munchkin and wife, and it really does carry the weight rather comfortably.

@Bushman5 , thanks. I'm going to score one of those soon as cash allows. (I'm totally strapped this month -- going to buy a top quilt for my hammock today so I can get back to real camping again next week -- it's been longer than I even want to think about, let alone admit).
    _____

Different question: I'm seeking a small, molle-compatible pouch for my new Canon cam (SX 530 HD, which is already opening new worlds of photography and videography for me) so I can carry it on the outside of my Halftrack (see pic two posts up). I've searched several sites -- including Maxpedition -- but haven't found what I'm looking for. (Nothing I've seen on Amazon is genuine molle compat.)

The dimension of the cam are 5" x 4" x 3.25". Any suggestions appreciated. :)

check out HSGI , American Made and great selection. Try the Canteen/Mag pouch, you can make your own closed cell padded insert for free. That pouch is popular with photographers , DSLR's drop right in.

^ That seems like a good option. Def on my consideration list. I had to visualize for a minute the arrangement of camera in pad (which is an excellent idea), and I think it would work with room for the manual under it and maybe my other pocket cam (that I'll carry for longer trips as a spare).

We'll see what (if any) other's suggest. But that one could get the call.

Do you just rub it in or do you hit it with a heat gun after to melt it in to the fabric?
