Did a overnighter in the Cederberg area last weekend. Just me and the wife. This area is located in the northern part of the Western Cape, South Africa. This area is very well known for hiking and rock climbing and has some very unique rock formations. We did a route that starts off by going up a very steep mountain, a long distance on the mountain and down into a ravine on the other side to the Matjies River. It was a bit hectic, because there is no clear route to follow and the terrain is very rough and dry. Once you go down the ravine to the river...It's like heaven on earth! Nobody around for miles.

Cooking some sausage on the fire and had lots of Red Wine :D:D Note the wire we used as a makeshift grid.

Sweet trip. Reminds me of Arizona. Desert type environment. Watch out for snakes!
