Day off, weather's nice - sunny, clear, 75F. Went out for a walk at the regional Park. Wanted to go down to the creek and cut a Willow shoot for a project. Found a suitable piece and used my Tracker knife to chop it and then some tuning up with my multitool: Wandered up stream and found that there were pools and running water [That's a little waterfall next to me]. This is pretty remarkable since we only ger rain Nov-April. Nice for the local wildlife to have a ready source of water. A game cam sure would be interesting to see what comes down here. I once spooked a Bobcat having a drink here: I sure like this big 6" bladed tracker. Be kind of cool if someday ESEE does an interpretation of the tracker. I know James Gibson has forged one. I also like having a multitool with me and I have long wished ESEE would do a collaboration with LEATHERMAN. Those folks on ALONE are doing some interesting mods for survival purposes, although I think it's fair to say Les Stroud demonstrated that a couple of decades ago with the WAVE on his SURVIVORMAN show: Anyways, a great little outing. Might get out again Saturday!
