They are the same material as the PR4 and they feel great! They are cold (as crazy as that sounds) compared to standard ESEE micarta scales, due to the compression, but grippy nonetheless!

I love my PR4 and the scales play a BIG part in that!

Looking forwards to giving the JG5 a go!

Actually the PR4 is the most comforatable in my hand knife I’ve ever owned of any brand

I believe they said it will ship right around the same time as the Izula Folder

I had no interest in this until I saw that it's thickness is 0.125".

    Dhunley......

I agree.... though with this spine is thickness and blade length....it’s a real winner

Fair Question: I will try and get this pic tomorrow....

2 vastly different knives though....both equally impressive in their own right but some definite areas where one will excel over the other....they both cut a sammich very well though.

We are going to be testing them BOTH very throughly at our upcoming Idaho Bushcraft class.....

Man we heard this ALOT with the PR4 release. (and by "we" I mean me....the guy that stays on Social Media)....MANY speculated that the angular scales of the PR$ (and JG5) would be an issue....

Following the release of the PR4 we hardly heard a peep....only a select few took issue with them...but honestly we will ALWAYS have issues with every scale we produce...I use the PR4, JG5, and the Carving ax (all with the same scales) without issue in a very comfortable way....I also have a few Jame Gibson customs with the same texture and I love the blades!

"It weel KUT!".....This knife will sell itself if you put it in your hands.....the #1 comment I've heard all day when someone picks it up is "WOW!....that's light!"----then followed by a slicing motion of some type

Now that’s what I like to hear! Talk about a next level knife then! I’m available for testing, not wanting a freebie I will pay for it and review. I might actually take pics for once.

Here is another fantastic idea... so once the new Nessmuk JG5 is a huge hit and then the world is blessed with the carving axe and you guys stop counting all the money I give you ;) lol you guys should make a Nessmuk Double bit carving axe... mostly because I would love it...
