Watching this now on Netflix after the astonishing ending of Peaky Blinders S3.
Those of you who do Jungle training down there can relate to this better than me.
    Amazing. Beyond amazing.

Deleted. I decided my post was OT. Not about Netflix. Just late night goofing.

I am so sad right now.i watch this and i am not sure what to think of it.at first,it reminded me of a book my mom bought for me when i was 12 or 13 called the "stone axe" about this 60's belgium/ french expedition to papua, new guinea.i was fascinated by it,then found the footage....gruesome!
This, was just sad.to see very humble true people becoming thieves and "gangsters" out of necessity......i m not sure i liked it.

I hear you. It was not really a fun film for me to watch. But it speaks to the reality of our human situation. That one of the last groups of truly "wild" humans has come to this is ... sobering, I guess.

I remembered another Netflix fav: The Borgias. The American version, not the British. I watched it all the way through twice. (But I do that with most films and series. Hell, there are films I've watched over a dozen times. After a while, I study them rather than just be entertained. I'm always curious about direction, sets, story line, costumes, backgrounds, etc. What goes on in background is sometimes fascinating. And rewatching allows me to watch for the set ups.)

Here's a trailer. @Jeff Randall will like this one: lots of skin.

Long Way Round and Long Way Down if you've never seen them.
Anthony Bourdain has been mentioned already, but I really enjoy his shows.
Living on One Dollar was interesting.

Oh and their LandCruisers are date correct in the show as well ;) I have a mate who was Agency at the time and working in South and Central America through that period...I keep telling him now what a dick he was (after each ep of Narcos)... I took Sunday "off". Being self-employed, I can do that, even while working.

While sitting in a noisy tavern, where the Patriots were (allegedly) kicking football ass,
I designed a flier for my upcoming public lecture and my new business cards (2-sided).

Then I went to the burrito place and ate a pork burrito with an IPA.
(The burrito pales by comparison with what one can get in NM, but alas, I'm not in NM.)

After that, I pedaled up hill, stopped at the neighborhood grocery for more beer,
then pedaled back to my room -- uphill -- and drank it with the remainder of the burrito
while watching the first three episodes of season 1 of The Tudors ... again. (3rd time)

I was reminded that politics is all about intrigue, backstabbing, and treachery,
which is why one's vote is pretty much useless, or at least not as useful as we wish.

I'm going to sleep now. I have important business on Monday.
