I love the look of the enamel and it holds that “cool” factor but it’s so hard to beat a jetboil and silicon mug. Lightweight, no noise, and you can drink and cook with it. With that said I will buy it just cause...we’ll the cool factor. You got me sold on cast iron for car camping.
Next time we get together to slog through the brush in pursuit of the king of game birds, I'm going to try to convince you otherwise, @Rook52 (That reminds me, I've really got to get back in shape!)
Your probably right hard to cook a timber chicken in a jetboil, but of course that means I need to actually shoot one. Better start working out I’m back in the saddle and doing pretty good. You need to keep up and don’t come out with too much new stuff I need to save so money to feed my Sitka addiction.
- yes to mugs - yes to pot - no to lid - have no use for it. Pot handle should have a hole in it for lashing to outside of pack.
I have an enamel pot slightly bigger than that, that we use when car camping. I would definitely be down for buying one or two from you if you decde to sell them.
I prefer pots without the long handle - they're easier to pack -and I like a flat lid so I can use it as a small skillet when it's not keeping stuff from falling into the boil. that said, my enamelware skillet lays flat against the framesheet in my pack....
