Can't wait to see the end results. I have a primitive longbow that I found for cheap at a flea market that was apparently made by the Macy's company out of New York.

Cool project! Im taking a longbow building class in April and am looking forward to it. Have you built a longbow before or are you researching everything on your own?

I have only built one longbow besides this one. Also Osage. No class but I did follow this guys words.....

I will say that my first bow was with a premium piece of Osage. I would love to take a class because there is probably so much info and tidbits I'm missing out on.
Good luck with your class. I'm sure it'll be great.

That is a good video, I'll have to check out some more of his stuff. Now I see why you commented on still having a knot on your stave in your video. Do you make your own arrows too?

Not yet but when I do it'll be with pre-made shafts. I'll do the fletching, staining and all that but not the shafts at first. There isn't goid materials to harvest out here for that.
