That's the Hypermotard SP I think. This is that with different suspension and a touring package so I can ride it cross-country if I want. Same motor and trans and look for the most part.
Yeah,i thoight so.i ve been watching his show and this bike looks comfy as hell to eat some road.good for you man.
Thanks Denny. I can't live long without a bike. I'll report back on how comfy it is for long rides. Wish I was cool enough to go ride with Norman Reedus.
Well I decided against the Hypermotard and went with the 701 Supermoto. It's a badass monster of a Supermoto and I can still add panniers and a rear rack if I want to go on long trips.
That thing is going to be insanely fun. I could see myself getting into a whole new world of trouble on something like that compared to the R6. I really want to get something new, but I think I'm going to hold off another year. I don't think I could part with the R6 though. I've had that thing for damn near 1/3 of my life... lol
It was in the 60s and sunny, this past weekend, so I was pretty stoked to go for a ride, but the R6 wouldn't start... Turns over just fine, and I can hear the fuel pump, so I'm going to have to check plugs, coils and all that fun stuff.
My uncle and my best friend both have new KLR's. I finally got to ride my uncles recently. I gotta say it's not my style but definitely a solid bike, especially for the price!
Thanks... I've wanted a motorcycle my whole life and waited until my mid 40's to buy one. This is my first bike and I've enjoyed it but I will be moving on to something more substantial.
My uncle says the same thing. It's very solid and well-made, just not enough power. He's after the Triumph Tiger I think or one of the BMW adventure bikes next.
