That Old Hickory is too valuable to use. You need to retire that and get some of the cheap Expat ones.
I know we all are excited for the cleaver but is EXPAT excited to see what his baby does out in the market? Clearly, you got the russians.
Hey, guys. This Is my first post here and I'm very new to the specialty knife market in general, so go easy on me So, to be completely honest, a friend shared a video about the Cleaver on his Facebook page which started me down this path. I've been waiting for it to be available online but it's still showing as unavailable (knife connection, knife center). I see Expat himself is in this thread from time to time, just wondering what the status is on it or if there's a place to get it that I'm not aware of. Also, I see in a few posts above that a member got theirs already, it looks cool but much different than the original video/pics. Is it not going to have the Idaho cutout? I know it's just a minor detail but for me personally it was one of the selling points as I'm born and raised in Northern Idaho (ended up in Seattle)

I was only joking about the China thing but the same as the one with the orange g10 scales. The one with wood scales were made by forum member @SEMO Everything will be the same
The one MMW posted above is a custom TM Hunt cleaver with an Expat sticker laying on it. Kind of an inside joke because Expat envies the TM Hunt one.

You trying to be the next Mike Perrin?! @Mvpre , the cleaver will be pretty much exactly as you have seen in the prototype photos. The only difference is that it has the Expat® Knives logo on it. The ESEE Junglas scales fit the cleaver so you will see various handles in different pictures: black G10, orange G10, wood, micarta, etc. But the cleaver itself is the same. This is exactly how the production model will look: It may come standard with black G10, but everything else will be the same.
