We went on a hike with our friends/neighbors on Memorial Day. We hike Horsetail Falls in Alpine, UT, which is about 15 mins drive from our place. It was prefect temperature (mid 60s). It was overcast most of the time with a little bit of sprinkles here, but the clouds didn't obstruct the view. The trail is well-kept. It's a fairly steep climb, at least for a bunch of kids. (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/horsetail-falls-trail) We didn't make it all the way up to the falls this time, as the kids were pretty worn-out, but we made it to a good look-out that isn't too far from the falls. It was a fun time. I threw some basic medical supplies in my HPG chest rig, along with a couple of blades. The Osprey child carrier worked great, as it was the first time we used it. My son snoozed a few times, and he was happy the entire hike. My daughter was a trooper, considering how far those little legs had to go. Now some pics: me and the boy early on the fam me and the animals nature contrasting colors there's a meadow about 2/3 of the way up.
