Sad day on the farm today. I noticed while I was traveling this morning that my Gibson Necker wasn’t snapping into its kydex (clipped inside my pocket) and thought that maybe it was from all the irrigation work I was doing, but I’d check it out tonight. Well, that didn’t happen. When I was back on the farm no less that two hours later, I reached down and found some just an empty kydex sheath. I checked all the usual spots, but it’s a carbon steel knife with brown micarta and we’re in a muddy spring so the odds are pretty low. I’ll keep looking, but just bummed. Only the second knife I’ve lost here (the first was a nice slip joint, and I stopped carrying those for that reason). Maybe it’ll turn up in the next few days.

What you need Del, is one of those bar magnets about 1 1/2 ft long like contractors use to pick up nails and stuff off of job sites. Mounts on short chains or cables, hangs down a few inches off the ground in front of the front tires on small equipment like bobcat loaders. Saves a ton of $$ on tire repair and down time.
My friend has a pretty heavy one on his tractor. He’s gotten nails, metal buttons, bolts, even a railroad spike..you know pretty much where you were..you just ease about on an atv or something and if you cross it, “Ting”. Knife recovered. :)

You could always Ping JG and have him make you one. Pretty sure his books are open.

Forgot to post here that I found this I between my console and my seat. I am afraid to carry it now though because the kydex is quite loose. Still grateful to have the knife back.

James may be able to fix it back up or make another sheath for it. Kydex can do that over time.
