Okay apparently I'm also picking up a Savage Model 10 FCP-K with a Burris Fullfield E1 on top. I'll most likely just fondle both guns and sell or trade off whichever one I like the least.

The R700 showed up today and my wife has already claimed it as hers lol. I kind of dig the 6x optic that’s on it now. The last picture is from my kitchen table, about 150yds away looking at an IPSC 3/4 silhouette

Forgive the makeshift river rock rest system. Everything around here is soaking wet so that had to make due for some test shots.

It's mostly bolt guns. She doesn't have much of an interest in AR's or handguns. Put her behind a bolt action and she'll shoot all day. I literally have to limit the amount of ammo I give her because she'll chew through it haha.

I’m going to guess you like the look and the feel of the Remington, but the savage will probably put shoot it.

As much as I hate Remington and their parent company and leadership (or lack there of) I have a soft spot for the 700. It is a great platform. But now that the savage after market has grown you can get high precision barrels that are drop ins and stocks and triggers just like Remington. The ability to easily swap your own barrelnin the savage is huge!!

That’s awesome. And obviously this is a generalization but most women I’ve shot with can out shoot the guys on precision rifles. They just tend to now want to or take the initiative to shoot as often. But take two noobs never shot a man and a women. My money is on the lady!

We'll see. I don't really have a preference in regards to looks. I do like that the 700 is shorter overall, but it's more of a combat precision gun and the Savage seems to be more of a long range shooter. More bells and whistles on the Savage while the 700 is just bare bones basic and gets the job done.

If the transaction works out for the Savage, I'm sure I'll have a hard time deciding.

@ManOfSteel and @Bcamos, you guys now have a nice trio of rifles and scopes to play with. I expect a summary report in a couple weeks with opinions on each. :)
