My lgs is getting me this new for $359. Both Opticsplanet and MidwayUSA are selling this for $449.

I may be getting a "frequent flyer discount" ;)

Damn dude that's a good deal. Make sure it's the SPR-G reticle and not the standard non-illuminated mil-dot reticle. The standard models are around $350 if I remember correctly.

By the way, once you get yours, let me know how tight the zoom ring is. Mine is pretty tight, to the point that a two-finger (left hand thumb and index finger) grip isn't enough to turn it. I figured that was just due to tight Leupold tolerances and it would wear down some with time but it hasn't (probably not a bad thing). I've considered just getting a cat-tail for it to help with those quick adjustments, but before I spend $70 on a piece of aluminum I'd like to get a comparison from someone else to make sure it's tight by design, rather than a fault.

Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing about a possible mix-up with the reticle/price. But I gave her the full description including the SKU # so it should be correct and didn't want to insult her by asking to double check. Anyway, I'm sure it will turn out good as my buddies and I are very good customers.;)

I sure will let you know about the zoom ring.

    Thanks again for you review...

Picked it up today, got it mounted. Really liking the look of this reticle like @Bcamos described. Can't wait to get it sighted in over the weekend.
The zoom ring moves fairly easily and seems comparable to the VX3 that I have.

Looks damn good! Ever better price! I'm super surprised that you got it that low. That's the same mount I've been wanting to switch to. I'm currently using the Burris PEPR and while I don't mind it, it's a bit bulky. I've just been hesitant because I'd have to completely rezero lol

I have one of the Mk AR 1.5-4x scopes on an AR15 shaped object. Mine has the Duplex reticle and I like it a lot. It is a nice scope at a great price point.

I have a VX-R 1.25-4x with the same illumination system and they can be glitchy, but may have gotten better. Mine will occasionally lock up and requires that you back the battery cover off and retighten then it works as designed. That scope in currently riding on a .416 Rem Mag. A friend has the “Patrol” version of the VX-R and his dot blinks off when fired.

Leupold did offer one free custom elevation turret with each new Mk AR scope, I had mine calibrated for my 77gr OTM load in 5.56mm.

Interesting. I can't say that I've ever had that issue. I have noticed that the dot can "wander" off of the middle of the crosshairs if my cheekweld isn't perfect, but that's not really at fault of the optic.

I can no longer recall the circumstances that caused me to select the Aero mount. It's light weight certainly isn't buying me much... the MK12 is already kind of a boat anchor. I'll probably switch the Mark AR scope over to a different rifle and put something with a little higher mag on the MK12 eventually so I can better determine her capabilities.

Mine is nestled in a QD PEPR mount on a rifle I built using a 20” FN barrel. It’s not a “varmint” rifle, more a rough n ready, hit a torso target in the chest out to 400 yds type of gun for our 3 gun competitions. You could put a scope with more X’s on that Mk12 but I think 1.5-4x is about right for running and gunning when away from the bench.

Me and my boy got it roughly sighted in off the barricade at 50yds today. I'm really liking the illuminated green dot.
