Any love for the folding saws around here? Great to team up with a fixed blade for fire prep Love my lightweight Opinel # 12 saw
Oh Yeah! great tools for sure. My favorites are Silky Big Boy 2000, a few Bahco folders, the little Opinel #12 is a great pocket or pack saw! The Silky has done some pretty serious trail clearing for me over the years, almost easier than dragging the chainsaw out for smaller stuff.
Someone has to be the smarty pants: I have an Silky Hayauchi pole saw, it's a great saw. Even the little swiss army knife saws do a pretty darn good job for their tiny size.
I keep a Bahco in the ATV bag and a Wyoming saw in the Xterra. The I usually carry my Milwaukee M18 chainsaw in the Xterra as I've run into some things across the trails before than you COULD handle with a hand saw, but you'd be there all night doing it.
