Let's see those Scandi grind, puukkos, or whatever other Scandinavian (made or style) blades you have!

I'll play. This big ole thing chops and splits with ease but has the balance of a decent kitchen knife.

Nice did you modify the tip or does it come that way?

I only have cheap ones. A mora1 I like to carve with. A mora hd carbon the boys use and keep in a tackle box, and a mora 2000 that has lost its sheath.

Well let's see them! I started with moras and when I got the Eldris I was hooked so I picked up the cold steel and loved it. So I decided to jump in with both feet and once you use a good steel on a very nice scandi I don't know I will go back

I came to the conclusion that I am happy with the number one as a carving knife. I like other knives as "do all" or whatnot. But when I wander out to carve on the porch I grab the #1 a lot. IMG_20170419_125728_712.jpg

I've had a #1 for a few years now and it didn't take long for it to end up being my wife's pairing knife

Came just as you see. As a "1 tool" option it's a good choice. Really good heat treat on these.

9.25" blade, 17" oal, app 5/32's thick. If I can get a Kydex sheath made it's going with me as a boat/fish knife. :)

Like Theo up above I like turning sticks into shavings...tho I never seem to make anything pretty or useful. This is what I use most, the grind angle, slight down curvature, size. It's just perfect.

Standard bevel, the blade is 3/32". That is why it slices so well.
