Mine was very tight as well at first - would rather have it that way than loose! Just use your thumb to push on the top corner of the sheath as you are pulling it out... It will wear on a little over time.
Actually, I looked closely at the clip and it looks sturdy and should keep with the belt. I will work it and get it broke in.
My favorite way to carry the Izula is to flip the clip plate around and carry it on the inside of the front right pocket...
Well, I found that the sheath has little nubs on each side of the throat that lock it so tight. I may try to reduce by a hair or two.
Bummer. I got an Esee sheath for my Izula and it doesn't line up to mount on the Junglas sheath. Was hoping I could piggy-back. Oh well.... still love my Esees.
That is a bummer! Are you able to engineer it without damage or making a permanent change to your gear? I do hope you find success on this particular endeavor sir ! Let us all know. I am so glad I got turned on to ESEE blades. Quality and handsome. Some of my Ranger buddies have done some truly ill things with these knives. Sometimes smaller is better. Lol...
It can be done with the stock sheath, it just takes some experimenting with different angles at the tip end of the Junglas sheath. I had mine piggybacked for a while by using a washer to position a mounting screw in the Izzy sheath’s lanyard hole and another mounting screw along the spine side of the Izzy sheath.
