I never had the 3HM, but had a couple regular 3’s and they’re great knives, but my Izula 2 filled my edc niche better in a lot of ways.

Yes, it's a lot easier and more convenient to carry the Izzy 2. EDC perfected.

I found I loved it even more when I mounted the clip plate for horizontal carry at 1:00. I wish the sheaths still had the slot so a 4th screw would fit so my ocd wouldn’t dig at me.

I found a brand new sheath for cheap and I'm waiting for it to arrive, exactly to try horizontal carry

My spare sheath arrived today and I immediately set it up for horizontal carry. Very comfortable and concealed. I added a small zip tie on the 4th hole, but I don't think it's really needed, as 3 bolts hold it pretty good. Now it needs some slim G10 from TKC.

Anyone have an idea if the hardware for the 3 and Izula is the same - if the bolt length is the same?

Looks like they are separate sets. Shane is off the grid training this weekend. He may know but itll be a few days.

Diameter-wise they fit for sure, but from memory the 3 has a thicker sheath. Perhaps it won't use the whole thread with Izula hardware. Asking all these random stuff as I have a spare clip from a 3 and 5 spare Izula hardware pieces.

To be honest i have a bag of screws and stuff that i pull from. Not sure what goes to what. If they look clean they get used. :)

I would have tried the 6 sheath, but I used a monster thread lock on it, and need to get the hardware hot with a soldering iron to loosen it :D

Thank you sir. I normally take all my knives down to 30 degrees on the Wicked Edge and then use a Sharpmaker to micro bevel at 40. Easy to touch up free hand, strop, or Sharpmaker, and definitely cuts well.

t[IMG]Call me crazy, but I prefer the 1095 to the s35v. Anyone else feel that way?

Yes and no. Right tool for the job for me. When I'm processing deer or other edc daily tasks i sure enjoy the s35. Outside of that i like my woods knives to be 1095. So yes. And no. Ha ha ha!!!!

This just arrived today. This is my first one with the black oxide finish. I really like it better than the coated version I have and it’s much better than the one I stripped and put a patina on. I think the black oxide will be a new favorite.
