so lets start with this. It’s huge! This is no backpacking set up. Weighs in just shy of 80lbs. Fully enclosed canvas with a vinyl floor straight from a swimming pool. This model has two doors w/ windows and no seeum netting and two windows. There are also two air vents that are hooded and work surprisingly well. There is an awning off the front. The poles are steel and appear to be solid. This is available in a variety of sizes and configuration. This option is currently available for $499. Gave it a first run test in the back yard. I set it up myself and without using instruction and having watched a 2 min you tube video before I purchased it, I had it up in under 10 minutes. It went together surprisingly easy. It comes with a lot of stakes and per reviews it is highly idvisable to use them all. Got a decent test out of it. Temps started in upper 70’s. The air flow was very good. Temps dropped to low 60’s with sustained 10-12mph winds with 25mph gusts. Had about 45 min of rain as well. No signs of water anywhere and I had the windows partially opened to vent. It appears to be handling the wind rather well. It was kind of loud but never woke the kids.
I have this and the 9x8 version. They are great tents. That 45 mins of rain should have seasoned the tent nicely.
Well it past one of my most important tests of this type of equipment. When I broke it down I was able to fit it in all of its stuff sacks without losing my mind
I have this same tent but in a 10x10.. love the tent BUT you will regret trying to use a full size cot... I have about 2 weeks worth of sleeping in it and highly recommend it... But again 10x10 = no full size cots... BUT shorter cots work great
