As long as you share the curry with all of us, it's fine. :D

thank you for posting that. I didn’t see it in the new posts. I’ll have to say the one I got a while back is a great knife. May need to add a sibling to the family.

Here we go the test to end all tests. I’ll have to admit as I look at the pictures I realized I should have cut this anywhere other than concrete. But the blade never hit the concrete pavers so everything went great.

And now the thoughts about the process. This pass around knife was easier to cut the Coconut with. The handle is bigger making it easier to grip. I didn’t get any hot spots while cutting. The blade cut cleanly in the direction of the fibers (top to bottom) and only needed a little extra motivation to cut cross grain. The blade stayed sharp and all I did after was clean and oil it because of the sap. I need to try something more fine now to play with the choil and some different grips.

I was going to try the late night infomercial technique of cutting a tomato after the test but don’t have one. Since I didn’t sharpen it I’ll try later.

I started working in the shop last week for a couple or so hours a day. My wife got a rolling chair for me to keep in the shop. Hopefully I’ll get all the bevels ground and HT this coming week. Only a couple are orders.

This knife has been a fun one. Great feel and weight. Hoping to get it out hunting in the next couple weekends. Then I’m flying to take my son to college. I can send it out before I leave to the next person. Otherwise it will be a couple extra weeks.

    Who is up next?

Took the pass around knife out today and had some luck. The knife did a great job. Held an edge and didn’t need a touch up during the field dressing. So it dressed a deer and cut up a coconut all on one sharpening. The coconut fibers didn’t bother it at all. Cut hide and meat with ease.

It’s got good shape and contouring on the handle just by looking…what’s the thickness on this one?

Roughly the same thickness as an Esee 4. You can tell it feels solid but still light enough to use for extended time. I’ll get some side by side comparison shots and the calipers out also. I have to fly out for work tomorrow so my brain may be mush by the time I land. Give me a couple days and I’ll post it up.
