Keep it up and I will start an HK thread with all 90 series rifles and VP70s galore along with Poly Techs, AUGs and everything else imported by Kengs. Wasn't the AUG the first Hollow Handle firearm?:D

H&K had one thing going for them in the 80s.... ADVERTISING....truly they just managed to tap into the inner man child survivalist in everyone... ;);) And the AUG ...I had a thing for them....right up until I had to work with them....:confused::p:D

I remember the old "When Negotiations Fail" posters advertising the Mp5. You know, for when things REALLY go bad and you've got to use a 9mm....

That being said, I cherish my P7M13....

..... the British SAS should have been on commission for the amount of MP5s they sold for H&K after OP Nimrod...!!! SASR here started with F1s, MAC10s and UZIs before the MP5s came along and remained in use till only a few years ago.

.... our F1 SMGs used the same trigger theory as the F88 (Aussie AUGs) so the idea was not new. Use to screw up the comp shooters here as their follow through would guarantee a second or third shot...LOL

@Expat, you need to bring that one down next time you are in my AO.

Hands down, the best adverts in the 80's were Assault Systems. Don't even try to deny it.

I agree. I've often thought the same thing. The Mp5 still has a very large contingent of carriers within U.S. federal law enforcement. Which is surprising. At least to me.

You know that knife was not the best in the world and the anchors were weird but knife nuts have broken those things into multiple pieces yet I have never seen handle separation.

You know what those things are worth now?!

I used to carry that thing around S. America and not think twice about it. Then I found out what it was worth and it went straight to the safe.

Oh yeah but hoping you didn't. Could have bought those for nothing as LE trades. Kick myself every single day.
