Does a stocking over my head and a cleaver in hand count ?

    See?

This thread has Burning Man -- or roasting meat
-- whether chicken, pork, beef, salmon, catfish, tilapia or shark -- written all over it.

The steel. The mass. The handle. The edge. The madness.

All it's missing is the music.
    ____

Me? Post it here? Not a chance.

They'll just have to go experience it there.

    @Bushman5 might.

Something about the heart of a robot ...

If I have anything to say about it, the music remains missing.

Unless you have some Waylon Jennings or Sturgill Simpson.

Love this thread... now people just need to post action shots of the cleavers and meat!

Kidding aside, if I had a lot of discretionary cash, I'd buy an Expat Cleaver. Alas, I don't.

For me, it's more want than need. I need an ESEE hatchet when they come out, and I want a 6. After that, comes new (better) snow shoes for next winter, and a ton of other stuff (related to my attempt to launch my next steps professionally). I've owned a culinary cleaver for decades, but rarely use it for kitchen stuff. I'm not hunting these days, and buy meat from a couple of local butcher shops, so don't process a lot of meat.

BUT, the cleaver has my interest. I really like the concept and design, and of course, it's ESEE, which makes it desirable regardless.

But who knows, someday, maybe I'll own one. Until then, I'll experience it vicariously via threads like this. :)

This image is from ESEE's page about the cleaver.

I mean, seriously, every time I look at an image of one of these, it just quietly says, "I am beast".
I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

I was hoping someone would post something by him. I've liked Waylon for a long time -- although my main musical talents drift to other shores (and I won't post them in this thread) -- I still appreciate his music. The one I posted above is probably my current favorite by him.

But I've not heard of the other singer, so look forward to listening after work -- coming soon ....

OK, yeah, he's good. Country with soul. More like R&B than CW.

I wanted to see one of his live performances. Very fine performer.

You CW guys should have added brass and electronic keyboards decades ago. I might have become a fan early on. ;)

I wasnt 100% sold on the cleaver in the kitchen but trusted Expats choice. He is truly right. This is a great kitchen and woods kitchen tool. It just works and does so much. The Scales by SEMO give it some classiness that the sterile g10 doesnt have. Honestly, i swap them out for dirty dirty jobs as i love the wood look and want to keep them nice. Ive not used the libertariat yet but everyone needs needs a cleaver in their kitchen. Needs.

I find it funny so many of us were concerned about the BO finish on the group buy 6 and food prep, but the cleaver has that finish and it's used all the time, right?

I scrubbed the crap out of mine when I first got it as it left some black residue, but now it is fine and aside from the side of my mouth going numb on a regular basis I haven't had any issues
