Habilis Knives

    I don’t normally do this but I’m going to share my disastrous experience with Habilis knives. I ordered a Habilis SRT the middle of November. My “knife” shipped on December 9th. The postal service didn’t deliver my knife until 12-23 after being shipped all over the country. After finally receiving my knife upon opening it Habilis sent me the wrong knife. They sent me a bush tool not a SRT. I called Penny Staten immediately and I was informed they would work on my SRT and get it out right away and I could keep the bush tool and use it until I get my SRT and they will include shipping to send the bush tool back. I have emailed Habilis 2-3 times and tried calling twice just to get an update on my SRT. Habilis is now ignoring my emails and calls. I personally will never do business with Habilis again and would never recommend them to anyone else. I’ve NEVER had this many problems buying a knife and I buy A LOT of knives.

    Those things look like Pakistani blanks finished by a hillbilly.

    Well I still haven’t received my knife. I spoke to penny the co-owner yesterday (finally after being ignored for 2 weeks) and she said her husband was “pretty sure he sent me the SRT and not the bush tool”. I sent her photos proving it was a bush tool they sent me. She was supposed to call me yesterday with an update and of course no call. I’m giving them until Monday of next week and if no response as to where my knife is I’m hiring a lawyer for breach of contract. I’m done playing games.

    After reading their website again, they may just be sharpened and packaged by a hillbilly. Maybe they sand the handles a little bit. That's about all that their website claims. Maybe he gets them from Condor or something instead of Pakistan.

    you are the man. wish I had FU money to hire a lawyer for this kind of stuff.. if your going to run a business. it needs to be done right

    Yeah it does. I got a notice I have a package at the post office so I’m wondering if habilis sent my knife and didn’t tell me. I emailed them last week and told them at this point I just want a refund. Haven’t heard a word from them. First step is getting my lawyer to send them a letter stating my intentions to file a civil suit if things aren’t resolved.

    Did Habilis ever make things right?

    I thought that they were out of business.

    Nope. They won’t respond to my emails calls or texts. The owners wife sent me $20 on PayPal to send the bush tool they sent me by mistake back before they will give me a refund. I’m not sending back literally the only thing I have to show for my $250! I can see it now. I’ll send the bush tool back and they will say it got lost or it was damaged or something just to get out of paying me. All it’s been is excuses. Oh our internet was down blah blah blah. They have had my money since November! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
