recently modified one of my ARs with a free float keymod handguard.

i used some anti-seize on the barrel nut as instructed, and, as usual, that crap left silver smudges and streaks everywhere.

i'm assuming some non chlorinated brake cleaner will suffice, but i wanted to see if anyone had dealt with this before. or maybe some wd-40 and a toothbrush?

It's just regular anti-seize? I use whatever you use to clean your barrels. Like Hoppes 9 or something.

no 9 did a decent job, but didn't get it all. wd-40 and a toothbrush did the truck, followed up by some no 9 for good measure.
